Im new to this whole llvm deal. Is the xf86-video-ati compiled by default with llvm? Or what do we have to do to benefit from the R600 fixes?

LLVM is required for the radeonsi Mesa driver to even run. It's not optional.

It's also used by OpenCL on R600.
