Interesting that a web focused company is admitting via MDN Offline that being able to get away from the "online only" treadmill mindset is something worth paying for

As long as they don't make it an opportunity to get hostile to the Dash/Zeal docsets generated by scraping MDN. If they do, we'll have... issues.

Well, considering they advocate for an "ethical" web (against [too much] spyware, etc) I'd actually expect them to be against over dependence on the web too.

They may advocate for it, but they don't really behave that way.

Imaging giving money to Mozilla to waste on social justice programs and other ideology programs while they're tossing out core developers and technology.

As an old Mozilla user (from the Mozilla Application Suite days)... Mozilla is dead to me. Lack of tansparentcy, opt-out telemetry and studies which initially did not even have an option to opt-out. The politics are just the tip of the iceberg.

Mozilla Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, meaning that (in the U.S.) donations are tax deductible. One of the requirements of 501(c)(3) is to avoid promoting any political candidate or influence legislation

I would support Firefox but not Mozilla. Not anymore.
