China can take its GSoC alternative and go to hell. The only reason "Uighur facial recognition" is not there as a project proposal is that there are already CCP-linked corporations developing it for them [1].

I have some Chinese made Android tablets without access to kernel sources. I think Chinese government first needs to educate companies and developers about software license obligations.
