You know how these sorts of people like to keep lists? I'm keeping my own list of these productivity-sapping cowards, and I suggest you do too.

Trunk would make more sense, no?

Just yesterday I was thinking that there are nonsense-free places you have to deal with. It was relieving as long as it lasted.

Finally. All those billions of projects that were on hold because git wasn't inclusive, can all be unleashed now. /s

I'm honestly curious, do these same people believe that "mastering" or "remastering", when it comes to music or film, is also racist language?

Speaking of music, do they want to ban the song "Master of Puppets" by Metallica?

How about Master's degrees in education?

I actually brought that up in a discussion once. You can imagine how people like that are quite the opposite of inclusive and call you words when you doubt their holy cause.

Long story short, the question was not answered and it does not seem to follow any kind of logic.

When people come up with alternatives that make sense or are even more clear in their meaning, changes should be welcome. "Main" is on point and it's also a commonly used word that even non-technical people can understand without taking anything from its technical use.

Sure there are also completely idiotic and forced changes for the sake of someone's agenda, but there's no need to reject changes that do make sense and also help in some way. Let's not complain just for the sake of complaining. This is not one of those cases.
