    I think AMDs goal was to achieve performance at least as good as intel cores with code compiled primarily for intel targets (Windows games, Cinebench, ...), and if last weeks benchmarks are real, they succeeded. Therefore a special "znver3" option isn't absolutely necessary, unless you want to extract maximum performance.
    Although I don't understand why they don't just hire SuSE to help them with gcc optimizations like they did in the early 2000s with K8.
