Phoronix: PHP 7.4 Lands For Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

It shouldn't come as a big surprise but PHP 7.4 has now landed in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to replace the existing PHP 7.3 support within the "Focal Fossa" package archive...

That took a surprisingly long amount of time to land, I was wondering whether it would make it on time for the LTS - it's important because it'll be the last version before PHP 8.0.

Is it right to hate Canonical & their very very super award-winning late of the stable software providing mechanism even if a user know what LTS stands for?
Or, is it Canonical devs being lazy?
      Which one is it?

More likely, the packages haven't landed into Debian until recently plus also coronavirus slowing everything down. Looks like you're looking for a reason to justify your dislike of Canonical.
