    I seriously doubt anyone really involved GTK is "attacking" Qt. Feel free to provide a source of that. Qt was definitely under a proprietary license at that time. There were other valid issues such as C++ making other bindings harder than C. That remains true till now.

    Qt is far from being perfect too... it's bloated with a billion dependencies, and obsolete core designs like QStrings.

    I think the first thing they should focus on for Qt6, is to get rid of all those dependencies and make the toolkit lighter instead of adding features over and over.
