    Is Zend still a thing?
My career as a professional PHP developer has fortunately been behind me for a few years now. But even back then most serious applications were built on top of Symfony or CMS like Joomla or Drupal. The only exception I could spontaneously think of was Magento.

Apache Foundation-alike move? Plus rebranding to try to gain some fresh traffic.

Doesn't seem very popular on gitub. I thought Zend is much older.

Zend ~13 years old (1,878 stars)
Sinatra ~12 years old (10,504 stars)
Flask ~10 years old (43,390 stars)
    Express.js ~9 years old (43,370 stars)

PS: Laravel ~7 years old (16,963 stars)
