There's this wonderful tiny utility for KDE 3.x called KNetStats which was abandoned by its author.
I'd like to know if there are KDE developers here who could port this utility to KDE 5 or pure Qt5/6 (preferably) and how much such a work would cost.
Also, there's a list of features which need to be updated/added:
1) IPv6 information (new feature)
2) 64bit counters for data/packets (fix)
3) A tooltip with network information (new feature)
4) Support for interface aliases (new feature)
Desired but not necessary:
1) Tuning this utility into a pure Qt5/6 application
2) OS-independent APIs so that this utility could work under FreeBSD/Windows as well
3) Being a KDE fan and later maintaining this utility for free
I'm perfectly aware of KNemo but 1) I don't like it 2) It's also abandoned
