Phoronix: OpenSolaris Receives New X.Org VT Support
Sun's lead X.Org engineer, Alan Coopersmith, in conjunction with Aaron Zang (a fellow Sun engineer), has written new VT switching support for the X Server. This new virtual terminal switching support is specific to OpenSolaris and future releases of Solaris (likely Solaris 11 and later) and will not impact Linux users or any other operating systems. The patch that was committed to the X Server mainline branch and will find its way into X Server 1.7 can be found here...
