I don't understand all the hate to Oracle Linux. It's a better spin of RHEL than CentOS:
                • A lot faster security updates availability compared with CentOS
                • UEK provides a lot more recent kernel
                • A lot of nice Oracle yum repos

It's only advantages over CentOS, without any disadvantage

                  Oracle is evil.

You should be comparing it to RHEL, not to Centos.

Why? I'm comparing solutions that have free updates without commercial support. And having the same requirements Oracle Linux outperforms CentOS in speed-to-release-updates and availability of newer kernels via UEK is also very appealing.
