Phoronix: Samsung DeX: Convergence & Traditional Linux Distributions On Galaxy Smartphones

      Great news
I guess Samsung has the resources and knowledge (working on Tizen etc.) to pull this off.
Hopefully it will be an open solution.

Samsung DeX seems very interesting for those who do office without to have to buy a whole computer.

I've stopped caring about Samsung's software a long time ago. The best you can hope for is it won't bog down your hardware.

Though, Librem 5 is still more entising. Sounds like their running it on an Android or Tizen kernel

I would rather Librem 5 running something like Anbox to have both, if for no other reason, longer support. That being said, I think this trend of having both systems moving closer together is fantastic

Is there any technical detail available somewhere about it?

This is the important part for sure.

More people using GNU/Linux with Gnome, KDE etc is what will help us coming closer to the year of the linux desktop.
If Samsung decided to start backing the linux userspace and desktop environments, things might become a bit more interesting.
I know I'm incredibly optimistic, but one can dream.

Look Canonical. This is what you could have done.
