          Tbh with linux they should start from scratch, base is clunky, linux is doomed as it is, better to start something new if they want to target desktop

                While it's not perfect, it's good enough.
                Maybe if they contributed to it and improved it instead of starting from scratch. Or maybe contributing to existing projects, like HURD or RedoxOS...
                Or even reengineering Linux writen in Rust and Object Oriented?

                Starting a kernel from scratch would only be justifiable if Linux had serious/unfixable design, performance or security flaws. Which it doesn't, AFAIK...
