    Keep in mind that Crouton security configuration is less than optimal. By default (at least in the last time I tested it) everything was running as root *Shrug*.

      Crouton will always work on any chromebook. It's just a simple chroot. That said... 'extras' for it are not working. There is currently no hardware acceleration which means a desktop gui is horrendously laggy.

      To my knowledge, there are currently no instructions anywhere for full linux. Fedora hinted at support in their blog but since then there has been no word. Arch Linux ARM seemed to trying for it initially but I haven't heard anything from that front either.
