Was it Turbo button with the LED mHz readout?

it was just a single LED! displays indicating the clock frequency came years later!
BTW the turbo frequency was 12MHz while the "normal" one was 6!

There is a marketing angle where it is a physical knob that goes to 11. Could be this generation's "Turbo" button.

This sound really nice. Having to install 3rd party management daemons can't be a solution for ever. Having easily manageable profiles, supported by the DE, easily manageable in the settings - another sweet step forwards

Would this “fix” gnome mouse freezing issues after extended use?
Replacing gnome with, ie, xfce gets rid of usb mouse issues...
not sure giving up performance is worth keeping gnome though.
