Those Google developers are obvious fans of the Space Quest adventures. They have a good taste in games.

Some less happy news about Space Quest, by the way: Scott Murphy, one of the Two Guys from Andromeda who brought us the Space Quest games, has a huge financial debt due to cancer treatment. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help him out:
