      Weird. Linux was running significantly slower in CPU capped benchmarks, even Clear Linux. Wonder if there is some hardware support issue for this laptop penalizing the CPU max performance.

        Michael You are using BIOS version 1.0.2. The latest version is 1.4.0, which has throttling and heat issues. Could you do some tests with the latest BIOS version?

          I am a bit surprised to find WSL perform a lot better than Win32 in quite a number of cases, sometimes even stealing the first place from everyone else.

          Other than that, is it me or Linux seems slower in many cases where memory bandwidth seems to be of importance? Could it be due to spectre mitigations?
