    Doesn't Java already have lz4 bindings? At least 2 different ones:

    Also, why on earth would you use ODBC under Java, when there's JDBC which is very very nice and has very good support for many databases? And then there's already jdbc--odbc bridge, although it got removed from Java8 as obsolete. I guess you can still use old versions of it if you need it, but I strongly suggest using JDBC...
