You do realize radeonsi is playing catch-up to AMDGPU-PRO and in turn AMDGPU-PRO is the same turd that could catch up to Nvidia in over decade? I'm not saying that's not gonna change, but right now, you're looking at the exact, old driver's performance.
Not sure about fanboy, but yes, I really am an open source enthusiast. I also enjoy being positive. This year I have seen Radeonsi give excellent performance on Metro, *better* than the Pro driver. Based on that and all the other radeonsi progress this year, I make the optimistic prediction that we will see radeonsi beating the pro-driver for Deus Ex at Christmas. If that happens, very close to the current nvidia price/performance. Feel free to mock me at Christmas eve :-)

You would say the same thing when someone hoped for the current state of open source drivers a few year ago. The hardware is capable, both the D3D11 and D3D12 windows benchmarks are very competitive.
