Sorry for the kinda off topic question here, but on my steam, it says the game is only for windows. Is he running this on another service, or do I need to enable something on steam to see this?

It shows up only as for Windows, but after getting the game and launching the Steam Linux client, it showed up for me right away.... I guess since Bohemia made it just 'beta' for Linux it doesn't show up in the Steam store by default? But yeah anyhow once I clicked on it from my Linux client it downloaded and launched right away for me.

There are several hubs for content but steam workshop should be the easiest one. There are lots of user-made benchmark scenarios.

Note that the game behaves differently depending on single/multiplayer, scripts and the number of AI.

I've been playing the game on my linux box without problem so far what tests do you want, Micheal?

A friend recommended this to me when I was after some benchmarks for the Linux beta. It consists of two special "benchmark" campaigns and they seemed to work. Not sure if they can be automated, I'm not familiar with the game either.

I am still waiting for benchmarks of Based Gentoo Linux distros like Funtoo , compared to other binary distros like ubuntu, fedora , mint etc..
Years ago you would get even +60 fps more in gentoo then Ubuntu in some benchmarks ( http://www.linux-mag.com/id/7574/2/ ).
If the benchmarks differences are still same , maybe switching distro which only costs time , will give you better results fps wise?

I do agree gentoo benchmarks would be great to see regularly, but it won't happen, Michael doesn't like taking the time to set up a gentoo system. Although I suppose there is nothing preventing us users from writing up a gentoo benchmark and submitting it here on the forum. Plus there are tons of gentoo benchmarks on openbenchmarking.org already. That site is just hard to navigate..
