I wish publishers would stop trying to outsource the port to Virtual Programming. Either that or Virtual Programming needs to actually start doing native ports. They are ruining their own reputation along with ruining the reputation of linux gaming as a whole.
Depends. While Witcher 2 still runs poorly on my machine Bioshock Infinite ran flawlessly since the day of its release. With flawless I mean stable 60fps on 1920 x 1200 with medium to high settings on a i7/GTX660 hardware. Witcher 2 in turn still runs sluggish.

      eON sucks.

Sure, it works "better" on games that uses DX9, like Spec Ops: The Line - but still far from good.
Anyone who claims that any of these ports runs "great" have clearly never played the equivalent on windows.

And no, the frame rate is not everything. eON ports have a number of other issues related to smooth gameplay, even if you could tweak it to get somewhat decent frame rates(Which is almost close to impossible in some of the games).

And yes. I would prefer them to not release any ports at all then releasing shitty ports. And FYI I own all of the ports they have released.

But hey. I'm gonna give them another chance. Downloading Dirt right now.

      P.S.
Don't even get me started on the The Witcher 2 port -.-.

Have you tried Witcher 2 in that resolution on Windows? GTX660 is generally not powerful enough for gaming at that resolution in 60 fps. Look at this review as reference (that's ultra settings though, but Witcher 2 is quite old): http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...review-19.html

Windows version of The Witcher 2 has a recommended GPU of: Geforce 260. Geforce 660 is four generations after that. Medium settings at 1080p will not be a problem in Windows.

For those interested, here's an overlook at the release:
Linux finally has a another decent racing game. It’s not a traditional racer by any measure, but still good. Performance is top quality too.

            And some previously done benchmarks:
I managed to get an early look at what will be one of Linux's only semi-realistic racers, and the results of DiRT Showdown on Linux are rather interesting.

I had early access to help test.

Looks like I can get full automation driving the game via PTS so will have a bunch of AMD/NV benchmarks shortly...

In case anyone was wondering 'Dirt: Rally' will be released on windows later this year, it will be the first new dirt game for quite a while, wonder if we'll get a native port of it at some point.

Interesting. However, here (Ubuntu 14.04 with i7/GTX660/352 drivers) Witcher is just... slow.
