Oh, sorry, I've never heard of that. But I did play Doom 3 and Quake 4, but they weren't very good for multiplayer.

    note the year 2004
I remember the year when Ryan stopped working on the Linux version of AA. In 2006, It was one of the few games for Linux that used Unreal engine 2 e.g. AA, Devastation, Postal 2, UT 2003/2004, and Devastation was never a playable game.

America's Army: Proving Grounds may receive a port to Linux/SteamOS...

I'd play it. I'd even pay something to the Steam Store for it ...

    Wait, what law is that?

I'd assume that whenever you install the game there was probably some kind of agreement that lets them contact you at will.

A guy I used to work with told me he used to play this a lot. He's a Canadian living in Canada and despite that he said he was regularly approached by "army recruiters" that would talk with him in chat if he ever considered joining the army. When they made this game is was marketed as showing off that you could get a programming skillset in the murican military (so yes it's still officially a recruiting tool) but the whole accosting players online is/was illegal, yet they did it anyway...

So no, fuck this game, and fuck it dirtying up the linux ecosystem.
