I wouldn't be surprised if they did at some point, gaben had a nice talk some time ago where he envisioned Steam as a market for any kind of digital goods, not just games.
He talked about software and services mainly, but that's small step from movies and from there it's even smaller step towards porn.
And we all know that after that there is only one logical step (actually two, if you count Valve's silkroad 3.0), total world domination.

90hz? I'm glad they are being forward thinking about this; a higher frame-rate will help with immersion.

This is incorrect. The reason you do not need glasses when using a telescope or microscope is because you can adjust the focus to compensate.

VR headsets project (in the mathematical sense) the image onto a screen a few cm from your eyes. Since the lenses are not adjustable like those of a microscope, you will still need glasses if you cannot focus at that range, or have astigmatism. The occulus prototypes so far shipped with lenses that specifically allowed enough room to wear your glasses while using the headset.

You have to actually have a framerate in the "barfogenic zone" to really get motion sickness. Below 30fps is where you run the risk of nausea from short-term exposure. Some people get a mild bout of it at 30fps (some games over an hour stint do it for me...). If you're running 60+ fps, you don't typically get motion sickness from the VR gear.

Looking at the setups for this one, it looks like you might be able to gracefully use glasses while running the HMD.
