    TrueAudio: (n) configurable DSP on some AMD hardware.
    Compare: several Sound Blaster cards had similar, some even exposed on Linux.

    Guess exactly how many Linux apps used the SB DSP? Hint: it's the average of -0 and +0. There were one or two apps on Windows that made use of it, half of them sponsored by Creative.

    What exactly makes you think TrueAudio would be any more popular, on any OS? We have a report of one game, Thief, using it on Windows.
