You'll just need to wait and find out, but I think most everyone should be pleased with 8.42.

I'll post what I'm able to run the game at based on my hardware (in sig) once I get home this afternonn. I started the download last night but it didn't finish in time for me to mess with it.

No question about it... Just waiting for the full binary release for timedemo capabilities.

You don't have to wait, the demo has all you need for that. Press F12 to toggle demo recording, use

                dir demos

                to show recorded demo names

                timeNetDemo demo_00000

to time first demo. All is stored in

                .etqw/base/demos/

                of course you can use

                etwq +timeNetDemo demo_00000

                to execute it directly.

Yes, I am familiar with all of that. But for benchmarking the different maps, etc I spend a lot of time deciding the map(s) and scene(s) to use for the actual demo(s) that will become standard for Phoronix benchmarks in ET:QW.

A nod's as good as a wink to a blind man. I'll find something else to occupy my time until then, thanks.

Well I would just use the demo map, as everybody could download your demo and test it himself.
