What an extraordindary comeback. "They don't have to do anything because." If GOG doesn't want to piss off the community and thus push away the source of income that has brought it so far, it wouild be wise to listen rather than to throw away its core principles. Now quit whining and get out.

Instead of infuriating the community by introducing regional pricing, why not actually give the community what it wants; what it has voted for?

"Add Linux versions of games" is now #4 in the Requested Site Features category, having recently surpassed the "Increasing number of games compatible with Win7" request. There are plenty of other Linux related requests as well.

Instead of infuriating the community by introducing regional pricing, why not actually give the community what it wants; what it has voted for? Surely a smart business pleases its customers, no? As has been said, if GOG is willing to drop one of its founding principles, then all Linux related excuses are void. They were poor to begin with anyway.

Looks like I won't be doing a 500$ giveaway using GOG games in the foreseeable future. Luckily, Wildfire Games (the nonprofit organization behind 0 A.D.) is doing an Indiegogo Campaign. That's where my money will go.

Basically I (we) see a big potential in Linux beyond the 1% . Currently Linux sales either just break even or yield a very small profit. But Rome wasn't built in a day.

We don't have a higher idealistic goal about freedom of choice - not more than it meaning that we'll reach a bigger audience.

In the end of the day Paradox makes hardcore games for smart gamers who want smart games - I think the average Linux user just happens to overlap with our niche business quite well.
