Phoronix: The Launch Titles For The Gameolith Linux Store

At the beginning of the month I mentioned a new online gaming store would be launching. This online store, Gameolith, unlike Steam and Desura would be specifically Linux-focused. There was a delay in the store launching by a week, but today they have announced their launch titles available from this platform. Sadly, however, it's nothing to cause excitement...

    1)Desura doesn't have DRM
    2) no
    3) woo?
4)Then don't use Desura, the rest of us will be quite content for trading convenience for nothing.

No use for this shit on my Ubuntu box. It goes way easier with just a repository and an apt:// url.

The same system can be implemented on Mac and Windows with ease.

I really don't know why the Ubuntu Software Centre itself isn't a webstore with local cache (webapp).

It prevents us from doing what exactly? Concidering the sales at under $5 USD on Steam and the fact I can redownload my games whenever and wherever i like?

I've never paid launch price for any game outside of a handful of sequels that I know are going to be great, like the Metal Gear Solid series.
