    exactly like you do with light only that different materials reflect sound and light different. So you need to extend your PBR-modell. https://reuk.github.io/wayverb/ray_tracer.html

    I used the Unity plugin more than 3 years ago and it was pretty solid already, with RadeonRays giving acceleration for baking on any GPU, and better than Google's Phonon in terms of capabilities.

    I'll try it again and get up to date with the additions. Should be fun to make some demos.

    Seriously, Valve should collaborate with Kronos to make Vulkan Audio
    That would be a nice extension to vulkan, especially since new technologies like ray traced audio establish we need a standardized way to do it on the GPU.
