    key

I don't understand why would they release the game on GNU/Linux so long before doing so in Windows. I think it would be best it was released both at the same time; it would reach more people regardless of the O.S.

Unless, of course, they will use us as test lab bunnies.
Well, guess what, I'm all for it: gimme my key, pliz!!!

          What is the actual game?
I was never a big WC3 fan so am completely unaware of DOTA.
Everything I've read/seen has just made me more confused. I currently think it's maybe some sort of team based strategy (each controlling a single unit?) with elements of tower defence?

Or does the NDA state that you can't even describe the game style?

NDA says you can't release game related media (screenies, videos, etc) but the playstyle is like what you just described. Each one with an hero and tower defence kinda mechanism.

Just google for DotA video and you'le see.

Thanks, but I'm still puzzled yet a little intrigued.

It's not fair on a game to use a beta as a demo, so I won't request access - unless there is a tutorial section that could use some exposure to a genuine clueless noob?

A friend with invite via mail tried to register but the entered mail adress was rejected, don't get what was wrong. Anybody else with that problem?
