Heh... I could only hope for a contract like TTimo has with iD (which getting the Brink gig would be...nice tech demo videos there on that game...I like... )- and I'd have to concur there.

What would it take for you to get into discussions with them about getting such a gig? This is interesting, since it would also mean better support for Brink's SDK, should there be one, better than ETQW's SDK support.

      • Hmm, does the first post need updating perhaps? I saw this comment at http://www.soldak.com/forums/showthr...?t=1620&page=3

        • Oh, hey, here are some ideas:
AaaAAaaAAAAAAaaAA!!!, Brainpipe, Captain Forever, Cogs, Saira, and Space Giraffe have banded together to offer their games in one unique indie game bundle. 6 award winning indie games valued at nearly $80 for the low cost of $19.99. Sale ends Wednesday the 22nd at 11:59PM EST.

I think some of these have been mentioned in the past?

And Yet It Moves is out on Mac already. http://andyetitmoves.net/forum/index.php?topic=33.0 says they'd like to have it but lack the knowhow/time. Seems promising.

Auditorium already has Linux covered, though is unfortunately Flash.

Aztaka is Windows only but they want it to work in Wine. http://forums.citeremis.com/viewtopi...f=3&t=46&p=206 Maybe we can do them one better.

Eufloria: They say they'd like to get a Linux build on their FAQ page: http://www.eufloria-game.com/read.php?page=9 I know the early builds of Dyson had Linux versions, so, this could be a cakewalk and a half.

Machinarium has a Mac build. Beyond that, they don't seem to have a site.

Osmos again has Mac covered and is working on our OS. Maybe they need a consultant? http://www.hemispheregames.com/faq/#linux_release

          • Wyatt,

Machinarium is available for Linux, (it's a Flash game, so I guess it should run on anything Flash supports)

And yet it moves is being ported, but slowly. I guess somebody is doing this in their spare time?

              Eufloria was done in C#.
IIRC, their Linux builds were using mono in wine or something. I think the only thing they distributed was an exe file, so it used wine.

              • Edit: Apparently they did have native mono builds. Maybe it was later in the Dyson period that they required wine...

It will shortly be updated, and yes...we're discussing specifics as we can meet up with each other online on that one. Unless something happens, it should be on the in-progress list.

Now, if only Steven would get back with me on a thumbs-up/down on his stuff over there at Soldak...

                  • So it's possbile even Myth1 and Myth3 to knock the doors of Linux?

                    • Telltale Games has decided to port Sam & Max (the episodes, not the original) to the Mac, and are taking votes on which of their other series to bring to the Mac. This might be a good time to ask them about porting to Linux.
