  • The famous Linux porting house disappeared after 12 years of activity.

    Hi

I wanted to inform you that Alternative Games website doesn't work, and Wikipedia removed the article about this company. They ported some great games to Linux and Mac OS X:

    - Don't Starve by Klei Entertainment, released on April 23, 2012
    - Mark of the Ninja by Klei Entertainment, released on September 11, 2013

    - Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack by DrinkBox Studios, released on November 4, 2014
    - Torchlight II, together with Edward Rudd, by Runic Games, released on March 4, 2015

    Emscripten ports

    - FTL: Faster Than Light
    - Dustforce
    - Osmos

Now, we can really forget about Frozenbyte games for Linux. The Linux team from IGIOS founded this company, and a few employees from the previous company ported two first games for Linux that used NVIDIA PhysX in 2009. They are responsible for The Humble Frozenbyte Bundle because they ported most of these games to Linux and Mac.

That's sad. I really enjoyed their ports of FTL and Guacamelee. (put tons of hours into FTL) In fact I think I'm going to install FTL on my laptop I just setup.
