    Since O3DE is the continuation of Amazon's Lumberyard (itself being a fork of CryTek's CryEngine), and Star Citizen is the most prominent (& expensive) game making use of it, hopefully they will make the switch eventually, which would actually give this engine the big boost it desperately needs to stay competitive with Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5...

      Epic is on it. It makes no sense for that to happen.

      Linux Foundation is into nonsense, as usual...

        But Star Citizen isn't developed by Epic Games.

        Thus if they were to switch over to O3DE from Lumberyard, it would at least provide a major increase in popularity, because most people are not even aware that a FOSS engine with these advanced capabilites exists.

        Of course, even better if they could upstream their improvements to the engine, eventually...

            I think Star Citizen is so heavily forked it would probably have been replaced most of that code long ago, anyway.
