yup, they are also pretty neat for making your own designs and modding, if you want say a specific peripheral to do something you can whip it up rq and plug it in (within reason of course), it can be really nice for prototyping, so as a dev board its worthwhile too

while Linux driver support is being worked on thanks to the community. Nate Yocom has been working on extending the Linux kernel's joystick Xpad driver to accommodate the Xbox Adaptive Controller.

So, it's not being worked on by Microsoft themselves.

Microsoft loves Linux so Linux can open up and become weak. Then Microsoft will punch at the core and severely damage Linux in one hit.

Yep. I've been in rehab for 7 months as a paraplegic and I've seen quite a few quadriplegics using them either as control devices for stuff like CAD and office apps as well as game controllers. They're really versatile and highly customizable, and if you have access to 3D printers and some additional coding you open up yet another level of accessibility.
