I enjoy local games. No need to pay for Steam, or any of its competitors.

Could you plot the total number of Linux users over the years?

Valve doesn't publish very detailed absolute number metrics, just besides occasionally referencing their customer base size.

That's because +0.14 points for Linux are indeed a success, while +0.34 points for Windows, which floats around much higher percentages, is usual noise or normal fluctuation.

                This is some crap:

Windows 7 64 bit 5.48% +3.51% (an OS which is no longer supported)
                English 37.96% -2.08%
                Simplified Chinese 22.91% +5.41%

I'm looking forward to Valve enabling the hw survey for all its users because this monthly swings make understanding its stats impossible.

In other news NVIDIA and Intel have both increased their market shares despite AMD fans claiming that RDNA 2.0 and Zen 3 are the best GPU/CPU architectures ever :-)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 continues to be the most popular GPU ever.

Radeon RX 6800 and 6700 don't ever register in the survey (which means fewer than 0.01% of Steam users have them) while the combined share of Ampere RTX 3000 cards has continued to grow, there's an increase of 1.18% which is more than the entire number of RX 5700/5600 users.

Your opinion is very valuable in the context of this news.

In other news Steam costs nothing and it contains a ton of free games.
