Maybe the OS X, IOS, and Android ports use OpenGL but the Windows version doesn't

Once this gets updated in proton I'll give Gothic 3 another test drive, the game does work with D9VK but only gives 10-20fps compared to windows which is 80+ (4k). WineD3D also only gets 10-20fps oddly enough so there is something missing still in both methods that Gothic3 is heavily relying on. 1 day..

Gothic3 (and forsaken edition) give me 5fps now on my 1080ti.. guess its borked and not likely to ever work. Shame.

to quote the minimum system requirements from the games readme:

Graphics Card: 32 MB OpenGL 1.4 compatible AGP or PCI 3D
Hardware Accelerator with Hardware Transform and Lighting (T&L)
        Capability required.
for the sound card though it says

Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible audio device required.
so between that, and that I can go into winecfg and disable all the d3d dlls, and the game still runs, its an opengl game.
