Took me a few months but now the game runs on Linux
Diablo build for modern operating systems. Contribute to diasurgical/devilutionX development by creating an account on GitHub.

Until 0.2.0 is out i suggest grabbing a nightly build from the CI server:

It would be nice to see a write-up of the latest FLAME build. That particular effort has some potential for a game-creation scene.

Works fine on Opera, maybe Vivaldi does not have the best support.

Just tried the web version in Vivaldi, but it doesn't even work right:

1 A lot of sprites contain white squares, including Dirk himself.
2 Quitting from Fullscreen doesn't do anything; had to Ctrl+Alt+Backspace my way out of it.

I'll stick to the native version, which has always worked right.

If you are into that type of game, it's neat.
I've played this on steam, it's a very good game. The premise is quite simple, but without realizing it I've had spent like 10hours playing it non-stop the first time I installed it. Ofc, it wont be that way for other ppl, just sharing my experience. It's cool, because it has that element of building your own spaceship(s) and use it to actually *work* as a delivery man, lol.

There is also https://freeablo.org/ which could be more practical at the moment
    And for D2 fans https://github.com/eezstreet/OpenD2

That wouldn't be GNU's: free is like freedom, not like a free beer

This game has great atmosphere. Good thing it is preserved for future audiences, platforms and devices.

I tend to agree as far as games are concerned. However there ARE some FOSS games that also have great gameplay/graphics/mechanics in their own genre. To name my personal favourites: Super Tux Kart, Zaz, Speed Dreams, 0 A.D., Flightgear (not sure if the latter is really a "game", but whatever).
