      Does anyone uses the name "AArch64" instead of "ARM64" besides the first being the official one?

        Yes. "AArch64" is the name used by distros, compilers, and other programs targeting that architecture.

          I meant like gif and it's official "jif" pronunciation, it seems that "ARM64" it's the natural name of the arch and "AArch64" was the chosen by the ARM holdings

            RAID6 on ARM64 :

            Now I would be cool if companies started to actually produce ARM64 board with multiple SATA ports so we could finally try those promised ARM file servers at home...

            Currently, there's maybe a board with a couple of SATA ports at 96boards and that's about it. And even these are too few ports for RAID6 to be relevant in practice. (Ideally we would need a board with >= 6 ports). We were promised low-power ARM file servers, but practical offer for power user hasn't materialized yet. Only a few expensive high range servers.

            I hope that one day, AMD will get their shit together a finally move forward with their custom ARM64 cores. (On the other hand they have currently other work to do with Zen architecture, so there's still time to wait).
