    wifi ac is a bit of a scam in general, but directional antennas help quite a bit.

          Hm, btw, it's easy to make pretty good antennas yourself on a shoestring budget, especially biquad and double biquad antennas, plenty of tutorials. http://buildyourownantenna.blogspot....-ghz-wifi.html
