sorry for my ignorance but There is any advantage from "Boolean Dependencies" over a satsolver for boolean satisfiability problem (As used by libzypp)? Or is it just a deb packaging option to be used in rpms?

It's about freaking time ! First RC was released more than a year ago (02 sept 2015) !

That aside, this release is really a good thing.

saulo Boolean dependency go a bit further, and is integrated with rpm, instead of being exclusive to libzypp and zypper.

It is used in rpm spec files and described here. It seems to be actually very useful to handle dependencies, especially with if.
