    A Phoronix reader pointed out to us of a new Linux hypervisor released at the end of June by Assured Information Security Inc. This new hypervisor is named Bareflank and it's open-source...

            Flank can also mean "the side of an animal or a person between the ribs and hip.", and whilst it isn't a slang expression, it is still, in this context, effectively saying the side of a naked human abdomen... imo...

              lol... so I won't completely reveal the reason for the name other than its not meant to be slang or gross. "bare" stands for "the bare minimum" and flank refers to "side" but not for a human.

                I'm wondering if the devs are bronies. Apparently those guys have this nearly universal misconception that "flank" means "rump".
