      Is this a real thing or they are just putting it so they will have a reason to require some more binary blobs?

        Read the lwn article referenced by lkml post. Apparently they found a way to use four unused bits in page mapping table.

        My understanding of "real thing" is tagged memory (like i960mx had), so this is not "real thing" for me but a step in a right direction.
