They will put it into the the experimental tree like 3.14: https://android.googlesource.com/ker...l/android-3.14 If any device will ship with it (or gets an update to it) is on the SOC manufacturers. Probably some to be released Rockchip and AMlogic devices will probably be one of the first (not kidding) to have a 4.1 Android Kernel. Qualcomm and Samsung? Probably not in the next year. Maybe Intel if there are devices with Android and a SOC with Intel HDxxxx GPU.

Well we need at least 4.1.15 for the T-800.

The Linux Long-Term Support Initative has announced that the 4.1 kernel will be the LTS version of 2015. Those unfamiliar with the LTSI can visit its LinuxFoundation.org project page.
Download page still has a Raspberry Pie typo - that is LTS stable

Would've preferred the 4.2 kernel because of AMDGPU but whatever, at least we got the live kernel patching.

This is off-topic a bit but the 2.6.32 is still being patched, that one is close to 6 years old, where is used still?

RHEL 6, Debian 6 (LTS)... Ubuntu 10.04, month ago support dropped for it.

Drivers can be easily backported (and AMDGPU probably will be)
