Well they needed a month to fix all of Canonical's mistakes.

      Cinnamon needs to be faster

Cinnamon shows promise, but it needs to be faster.
      The menu shows too slow.
Sure, its less than half a second, but even 250 milliseconds is a noticeable delay.

It's not like Cinnamon devs have 250 milliseconds to save; if you want a faster DE, use something else.
Unity has this kind of delay too, why don't you complain at them too?

PS: adding a title to your posts makes you look even more like a troll.

          I complain at Unity too.
Unity is the reason I want Cinnamon.

I was a happy Ubuntu user until they introduced Unity, then I started looking for alternatives and found Cinnamon.

I've been using the sources.list for the Mint 15 alpha/beta for a few weeks now at home, and it's been doing pretty well on my system. Seems to be a solid release, and I look forward to kicking off an upgrade to the final 15 release later today.

It's really slow. Also nothing shows up on the panel except for the update shield icon in a new install.

The delay for the menu is on purpose...
AFAIR you can disable it in the settings.
