    Now, I am really hoping that kernel 3.7 is not immediately declared End Of Life just because 3.8 came out. What determines whether a kernel branch is EOL or long-term supported anyway?
    I believe the life of a regular non LTS kernel is 18 months while an LTS one is 5 years
