  • Linus awarded with the Millennium Technology prize

It said to be an equivalent to a Nobel prize. And this year it was Linus and the Japanese Dr. Yamanaka. Linus for obviously making the world a better place with software and Dr. Yamanaka for research on stem cells that don't need embryo stem cells. Read for yourself here:
Technology Academy Finland (TAF) awards the global one-million-euro Millennium Technology Prize and runs associated events and initiatives.

I wonder if these 73'000 man years mean the kernel itself or something more.
Stop TCPA, stupid software patents and corrupt politicians!

This thread is bogus. The award winner will be announced in June. Linus is a candidate.

This was also reported on Tom's Hardware http://www.tomshardware.com/news/lin...ize,15409.html

I can't believe Phoronix hasn't reported on it.
