  • What about testing zcache performance?

    Hi all,
today was published on lkml a benchmark of zcache.

    https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/3/21/566

It seems the results are quite impressive...

It is possible to benchmark the new features of these staging drivers (zcache/ramster)?

For ramster, I wasn't aware Phoronix was read by the folks running huge virtualization farms

I think ramster con also work locally, it doesn't remotify zcache to another node if it is not configured to do so.
From what I read, ramster forked zcache to have a pool of cache beteen different node communicating via OCFS2 protocol.

Where zcache was doing his work sinchronously (in the step between cache and fliesystem writes, also on swap), now ramster con work asyncronously.
