Oh dear, now you are doomed to use 6.12 LTS (or less) forever on 2007 hardware.

Very shocking to learn that a Linux driver was/is broken.

"Irrelevant piece of obscure hardware was not supported and no one cared including the manufacturer of said hardware? What an opportunity to suck off my corporate masters."

When i read this the 1st question is what is an SPU.

                  SPU – Wikipedia

Is it a Sound Processing Unit, Socialistic Party Ukraine.

Then i think what is sparc SPARC-Architektur – Wikipedia.

Ah ok cool Ultrasparc 2t was cool 2007, just let it die allready ...., just let it go and remove all those macros and tricks for some old rotten stuff from the kernel.

Focus on the modern stuff arm64 risc-v x86-64.
