Since Tuxedo writes their own drivers whey not move away from the half-ass Linux based OSes they offer and instead ship with a real OS, like Windows dual booting Ghost BSD.

Their configurator allows to get Windows installed as a dual boot option or as a virtual machine within the primary operating system.

Matt Gaetz has no chance of getting confirmed and part of me wonders whether that was also a faux nomination by Trump, Gaetz has been a loyal Trump supporter, Trump throws him a bone knowing full well it can't be enjoyed.
It's a workaround so he can pull the strings without being a real cabinet member which would entail giving up business interests like stocks and shares, etc.

its way more than that as I understand it. GPLv3 is so viral it applies re-licensing to ALL of the code that it's included with by default... it's a horrifically draconian bad license...

DRMs are a cancer with nowadays hardware. And GPLv2 gives them a prop.
Remember old good times many people were rooting their Android phones? debloating them, installing cool new themes, mods and features, installing their own built custom ROMs, or even just optimized kernels.
Nowadays it's getting more and more difficult and annoying. You're getting more and more security barriers, more and more software refuses to work once your device has been flagged as rooted, or it was detected you have root.
Samsung KNOX, once [irreversibly!] flagged, kills features like Secure Folder, Samsung Pass, makes Camera and other stock Samsung apps malfunctioning.

Now they need to get started on actually merging that code. There are plenty of notebook choices out there which are basically fully supported by the mainline kernel. When I go buy a notebook from a company selling "Linux-Hardware in a tailor-made suit", I expect better mainline support than the alternatives, not worse. I don't understand why they ever hatched this idiotic plan instead of just submitting upstream.
