Given the Borg like progress of systemd I recalled Homer Simpson's donut (doughnut) worship.
Substituting systemd for donut or donuts would be hardly noticeable.

"Mmm…donuts… Donuts. Is there anything they can’t do?”
“Donuts make the world go round.”
“Donuts are the answer. I don’t remember the question.”
“If loving donuts is wrong, I don’t want to be right.”
“Donuts are my weakness, and my strength.”
"A day without a donut is like…just kidding, I have no idea.”
    “I’m not a hero, I’m a high-functioning donut addict.”
“Donuts are the glue that holds my life together.”
“I donut need therapy, I just need a donut.”
“Donuts are proof that there is still good in the world.”

As one of Douglas Adams' characters, Trillion put it rather aptly for our times:
"We will be restoring normality as soon as we are sure what is normal anyway."
"We have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem."

That's a good addition to systemd suit.
I remember having problem with systemd-measure, systemd-cryptsetup and systemd-ukify where I always had to specify key location was complete PITA. I hope this new tool will make LUKS+TPM2 setup much easier.

If you read the article, you would notice that it's not introducing any functionality but moving functionality out of existing systemd utils into their own CLI utility.

I'm curious. In what way does pulling functionality from multiple systemd utilities into a single utility constitute scope creep? What scope has been expanded by doing exactly the same in a better structured way?

Systemd is finally taking ownership of your keys.

I'm still waiting for that to happen.

This is so funny. On every systemd / Poettering article on the internet you see the same responses. These users are programmed like a pavlovian dog. Programmed programmers. Thats funny. :-)
