    This is awesome news! Germany is really doing tech "right" it seems!

    Now... if samba can use some of that to re-write their config methods into something sane that would be even more awesome... though it might totally drain the fund a this point

      SMB over QUIC sounds interesting, when paired with effective writeback and read caches that ought to be a nice speed bump!

              At least now they're not just doing evil and backwards tech things like Netzwerkdurchsetzungsgesetz, Impressumspflicht and Vorratsdatenspeicherung but also something good like supporting free software.

                Okay ... I did a quick check and those names are legit program names in German... those names are crimes against the alphabet! I thought English had some rough words... and biologists basically just try to use the entire alphabet twice in each name, but these are in a class of their own!
